Water saving project with a record!

Description

It was one of the most drastic, water-saving projects; recovering rinse water from the water treatment plant.

Since the construction of a new plant in 2004, RWB has been working with Grolsch to operate, maintain and optimise the general water treatment plant on the site. In view of the water-saving objectives, the possibilities of reusing the rinse water from the sand filters and the softening installations have been examined.

Martin Bosscher, Brewing Utility Engineer: “It made a significant contribution to the record year, never before had so little water been used. An achievement that has been made possible by a special filter method that uses ceramic membranes to purify and reuse our rinse water.
