Heemraadsplein sewage pumping station
Together with Kwakernaak, we are renovating the Heemraadsplein sewage pumping station (G0003) in Rotterdam. This pumping station, which is over a century old, is located in a protected urban landscape and plays a vital role in the city’s water management. Commissioned by the City of Rotterdam, we are preparing the pumping station for the future.
Within the construction team, we are further developing the design, after which construction will begin. During the work, we will provide a temporary pumping system to ensure that water continues to be discharged. We will then replace the existing system with a new pumping system, including associated piping, controls, and electrical systems.
In addition, we are repairing the concrete basin, installing new pressure pipes, and redesigning the outdoor area. We are also coordinating the work of all parties involved.
With this project, we are combining modern technology with respect for the historic surroundings and contributing to a reliable and future-proof water system.
