Nitrate measurment
Bypass Absorptionmeter Nitrate Nitrates are nitrogen compounds that occur naturally in the soil, but also enter the soil as a component of fertilizers. Even a small amount of nitrate in drinking water can pose a health risk! Sigrist ColorPlus 3 offers you online measurement of nitrate. As a light source, a long-lived xenon flash lamp is used having a very low loss of intensity over a long time! The medium is measured with two optical path lengths from which any soiling is determined. The value measured is automatically corrected and the instrument informs the user when the measuring cell has to be cleaned. The PVC cover can be removed without tools. Free access to the optics allows simple cleaning of the measuring cell. The instrument indicates any maintenance due. The control unit SICON selectively displays values, graphs, status and alarms on state-of-the-art touchscreen technology and colour display. Internal data storage allows the visualization of the measurements over the last 32 days. The instrument is used in the treatment of drinking water. Automatic flow cytometer for microbiological monitoring of water
The BactoSense is a fully automatic Flow Cytometer for continuous on-line monitoring of the amount of microbial cells in a process. The compact instrument is designed to provide a quick insight into the general microbiological quality of a liquid. Result aer available within 20 minutes. The biological “fingerprint” of a fluid and cell-size ratio (LNA/HNA) provide an instant insight into the biological change. Thresholds can be monitored and alarms generated automatically. Compared to plate counting (HPC), the result is much faster, more realistic and more comparable. A completely sealed cartridge is used. No chemicals and waste handling is required. This guarantees safe operation at all times. Cartridges are available for Total Cell Count (TCC) and Intact Cell Count (ICC). Even with a relatively small number of samples, the BactoSense is cost effective.

AquaScat S - In-line turbidity measurement for the water treatment
In-line turbidity measurement for the water treatment The AquaScat measures the turbidity of potable water according to IEC 27027, with the measurement carried out directly in the water. This reduces maintenance work to a minimum. The calibration is done with a checking unit that is installed when needed. Various customer wishes can be catered for with the different options for data visualization and connection to a PLC/SCADA. Thanks to the different process integration options, a solution can be found for virtually any requirement.

On-line Turbidimeter (ISO 7027) with free fall flow cell with high resolution The AquaScat measures turbidity of potable water according to IEC 27027 using 90+° scattered light detection in a free-falling water stream. This contactless design eliminates window foiling and minimizes servicing to a minimum. Calibration check is performed with a calibration unit that is either mounted to perform the check or that is already built in (depending on variant).

On-line Turbidimeter (ISO 7027) for pressurized measurement The AquaScat measures turbidity of potable water according to IEC 27027 and is specially designed for installations with highly gaseous water under pressure. Calibration check is performed with a calibration unit with a glass reference that is mounted when performing the check.

Colorplus 2 - Absorption Measuring Instrument
The ColorPlus measures the colour/absorbance online at up to three different wavelengths in the UV and visible range, also combined. Turbidity can be compensated at the same time by selecting an appropriate wavelength. The modular design of the instrument enables to cover various applications by selecting the most suitable measuring cell. In many cases, a standard housing like e.g. Varivent® is used. Alternatively, custom-specific flow cells in different materials and designs are available. For inspecting the instrument, checking units on the basis of reference filters can easily be inserted. Operation is done intuitive using the intelligent control system SICON via touch screen technology and colour display. Values, graphs, alarm and status messages can be presented. An internal data logger allows recalling and displaying measured data from the last 32 days. A variety of analogue and digital interfaces allows smooth system integration and control. ScrubberGuard - Measuring system for scrubber wash water monitoring
More and more goods are transported by sea on a global scale and cruise liners are also enjoying an increase in popularity. For economic reasons, many ship operators choose heavy fuel oil as a propellant. The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has issued guidelines for limiting pollutant emissions of heavy fuel oil powered ships. In order to continue an operation with highly sulphurous heavy fuel oil, the ships are refitted with scrubbers. The certified measuring system ScrubberGuard reliably and continuously measures the parameters of the scrubber wash water, such as turbidity, oil-in-water, pH and temperature in accordance with the guidelines for exhaust gas treatment systems MEPC.259 (68). The true non-contact measuring system and the exact recalibration (you can do on your own) without the use of chemicals, allows a long-term stable measurement and reduces maintenance to a minimum. The ScrubberGuard was specifically designed for the challenging process and environmental conditions of this application.

The instrument is used for monitoring oil traces in raw, surface, process and waste water. As a result of the non-contact free-fall measurement, there are no reading falsifications arising from window soiling and there is an extremely low need for maintenance. The instrument’s factory setting is calibrated with 16 EPA-PAH standard. The OilGuard 2 W can be recalibrated by the customer with a secondary standard (solid reference) which allows an exact recalibration without 16 EPA-PAH. The ingenious instrument design of the OilGuard 2W in combination with the high quality of its optical components minimizes the effect of interferences. Thus, even the smallest traces of oil, as well as larger amounts, can be precisely detected. The instrument can be adapted to various types of oil to meet customer requirements. Checking the instrument is easy with corresponding solutions.

PhaseGuard - In-line Phase Switch for Turbidity or Colour
In-line Phase Switch for Turbidity or Colour The PhaseGuard monitors phase transitions of turbidity or colour. Three models of the PhaseGuard cover the possible applications: phase switch for turbidity (model T), for colour (model C), for high turbidity (model HT). The PhaseGuard is factory adjusted with a universal measuring range based on absorption. TurbiGuard - In-line Turbidity Monitor for Medium to High Turbidity
In-line Turbidity Monitor for Medium to High Turbidity The TurbiGuard is used for monitoring medium to high turbidity, in process liquids. A single version of the TurbiGuard featuring two measuring ranges can be widely used for monitoring medium to high turbidity. The TurbiGuard is factory calibrated with a true, linearized Formazine calibration. For simple applications and system integration the instrument configuration and communication can be easily done using the serial interface in combination with the existing outputs. For a more comfortable installation and operation the optional control unit SICON with touch screen technology and colour display can be connected.

TurBiScat - In-Line Turbidimeter
The TurBiScat monitors turbidity in liquids, optional also the (beer)colour in EBC. The combination of Hastelloy and sapphire in a sealless design allows operating the unit in practically all process applications. Turbidity measurement is done with colour compensation. Window fouling is monitored, compensated and can be checked using an anti-fouling control. Calibration is easily done using a secondary reference standard.

LabScat - Dual-Angle Lab Turbidimeter
The LabScat monitors turbidity in liquids, using a single light source to detect transmitted light and scattered light at 90° and 25°. This allows colour-compensated dual-angle measurement according to MEBAK and EBC standard, in bottles and glass cuvettes. Bottle rotation and water-bath minimize disturbing influences, the quality of the water bath is monitored. Operation is done via a colour touchscreen. No tools are required for routine maintenance. Calibration check is simply performed with a calibration unit with a glass reference, which is part of the scope of supply. Sample ID and handling measuring data are performed using digital interfaces (USB, Ethernet with web browser).
