Chemviron provides a comprehensive water purification service for industrial wastewater and drinking water, removing harmful contaminants such as pesticides, emerging pollutants, PFAS, taste and odour through proven activated carbon technology, mobile carbon filter services, customised reactivation, and recycling of spent activated carbon.
Granular and Powder Activated Carbons
Chemviron is the world’s largest manufacturer of granular activated carbons which have been used for purifying water and liquid chemicals for over 80 years.
Adsorption onto Chemviron’s high-quality activated carbon is a highly effective solution to remove many organic pollutants and other contaminants from both drinking water and wastewater. These contaminants include pesticides, herbicides, disinfection by-products, micropollutants, pharmaceuticals, personal care products, and PFAS.
The high-performance FILTRASORB® granular activated carbons, developed and produced by Chemviron are the most widely used granular activated carbons for drinking water treatment in Europe. FILTRASORB® carbons are re-agglomerated activated carbons and so designed to provide the optimum pore structure for effective micropollutant removal with proven performance for a wide range of pesticides, trace organic compounds and PFAS.
FILTRASORB® carbons are also designed for multiple reactivations so enabling a sustainable long-term use of this carbon technology.
Industrial and municipal wastewaters, as well as contaminated groundwaters, can contain harmful pollutants that threaten water quality and ecosystems. CYCLESORB® Mobile Carbon Filters
Chemviron’s mobile carbon filters combine an on-site carbon adsorber and transport vessel for movements to and from the site, eliminating the need for on-the-spot activated carbon exchanges.
Our Plug and Purify concept ensure rapid installation, immediate start up and minimal disruption to your site operations.
Reactivation of Activated Carbon
Chemviron is the world’s largest recycler (or reactivator) of activated carbons and has carbon recycling facilities across Europe. Chemviron has developed state-of-the-art processes to recycle activated carbons to enable the destruction of the adsorbed contaminants, while restoring the spent carbon to a reusable state.
Combining reactivation with our activated carbon, means our customers benefit from a sustainable purification solution, reducing their CO2 footprint.

The CYCLESORB® HP is ideal for internal or poor access locations as they can be moved around the site by a forklift.

Our range of CYCLESORB® mobile carbon filters is specifically designed to remove contaminants present in water treatment plants, wastewater, and industrial processes. For the treatment of corrosive liquids, suitably adapted CYCLESORB® mobile filters are also available.
