About us
We are Iv. We are Engineers. Engineers dedicated to solving the most complex issues. The greatest challenges of our time. Our specialists devise solutions for the energy transition, the effects of climate change and to ensure a safe and resilient society. We design offshore wind platforms, submarines, and the world's largest lock complexes. Essentially, we design anything that requires a high level of technical expertise and multidisciplinary knowledge. The diversity of our work is unmatched by any other engineering company, and we deliver results that genuinely benefit society. This is what we call: Engineering that excites.
How can we ensure a sustainable water supply now and in the future? Iv advises clients on this. The quality and availability of water are under pressure worldwide. The balance between water supply and demand is becoming increasingly unstable. This instability is partly due to our changing climate, leading to water stress (water scarcity). On the other hand, nature is being thrown off balance by contaminants such as PFAS, nitrogen, micro-organisms, and pharmaceutical residues, and it cannot always recover unaided. These factors present complex challenges for wastewater treatment and drinking water production. Iv has many years of experience with (innovative) treatment methods for wastewater, industrial water and drinking water. We provide our clients with comprehensive advice in this field.
Water can be treated in countless ways, but what is really the best solution to a problem? Iv advises clients on this. With expertise in all technical disciplines, we manage the interfaces between the disciplines in projects, which results in integral designs and phasing plans with a low implementation risk profile. With technological designs that maximise sustainability and total cost of ownership, we collaborate with clients to develop viable and future-proof water treatment solutions. Our approach covers all system components (water treatment, conveyor systems, sludge treatment, energy supply and energy generation).

Senior EIA engineer
As an experienced EIA Engineer, you know exactly what it takes to create a sound design. And you also know it doesn’t stop there. From the first concept sketch to construction: you make sure everything is correct, functional and clearly understood by everyone involved. You work in multidisciplinary teams on projects for organisations such as Waternet, Dunea and various water authorities. These include renovation, expansion and new-build projects for wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations and other installations. You produce designs, carry out the calculations, prepare specifications and oversee design and drawing work. During execution, you are involved in site supervision and contract management, attend construction meetings and handle inspections. You liaise frequently with other disciplines, such as mechanical engineering, automation and instrumentation.
Lead Mechanical Engineer Water
Iv focuses on the design and construction supervision of all water-related projects, including drinking water, industrial water, wastewater, and water level management. Due to the growth of our activities in this area, we are looking for an enthusiastic Lead Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and engineering of the mechanical/installation technical components within a wide variety of projects. You will work as part of a team with civil engineering, electrical engineering, and instrumentation disciplines on complex technical objects, create cost estimates, draft specifications, and translate these into a mechanical design note/tender document. The projects you will be working on mainly involve polder and drainage pumps, locks and weirs, (waste)water treatment plants, sewage pumping stations, and associated (pressure) pipelines.
Senior Mechanical Engineer Water Treatment
Iv focuses on the design and construction supervision of various water-related objects, such as drinking water, industrial water and wastewater installations, and water level management. Due to the growth of our activities, we are looking for an enthusiastic mechanical engineer to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for the design and engineering of mechanical and installation components within various projects. You will work with colleagues from disciplines such as civil engineering and electrical engineering on complex technical objects, such as polder and storage basin pumping stations, locks, weirs, wastewater treatment plants and sewage pumping stations. Your tasks will involve drawing up cost estimates and specifications and translating these into a design quote or draft specification. You will also perform static and dynamic hydraulic calculations and contribute to transport systems such as pumps and piping.
Project Manager Water Technology
Clean drinking water. Smart wastewater treatment systems. Reduced water consumption in industry. As a Project Manager Water Technology at Iv, you work on projects where engineering makes a direct contribution to society. You lead the process, the team and the technical scope towards a solution that works. You will work on assignments for water authorities, drinking water companies and industrial clients. From PFAS removal to new treatment installations: the content is complex, and the impact is significant. You maintain oversight and manage technical content, planning, costs and results. Where needed, you also contribute technically yourself. You are involved early in the client’s process, think along about the question behind the question and translate this into a feasible design. You identify risks, plan effectively and ensure that stakeholders remain aligned. Progress reports, KPIs, decision-making—your approach matches how we work at Iv: pragmatic and openly communicative.
