About us
Macero B.V. is a service company and specialist in the field of sustainable and biological wastewater management. We degrease, deodorize and clean wastewater in a sustainable and biological manner. For example, we offer solutions for recurring grease problems and odor problems in sewage systems, pumping stations, pump wells and grease traps. We do this on a full-service basis, which means that advice, placement, monitoring and replacement are always done by one of our experts. We work on behalf of municipalities, water boards, businesses, the hospitality industry and the food industry, among others.
Our solutions for cleaner wastewater are in line with the widespread feeling that we need to be more economical with our living environment. Our green products are 100% organic and thus provide cleaner wastewater in a sustainable manner. In this way, we hope to make the world greener, little by little. On to a greener, cleaner and more sustainable world!
Wondering what we can do for you?
Are you ready to contribute to a greener, cleaner and more sustainable world by processing your wastewater?

De Groene Vetvreter
Sewer clogged and suffering from recurring grease problems in sewers, pumping stations and grease traps? Our Green Fat Eaters tackle the fat breakdown in waste water 100% biologically! The Green Fat Eaters A clogged sewer and grease deposits in drainage systems are annoying and common problems. Oils and fats adhere to the system and other materials stick to it. Congestion and odor nuisance are the result. Our Green Grease Eaters remove grease deposits and blockages in sinks, drains and sewers. Because the fat eaters work preventively, such problems are prevented in the future. This saves you considerably on maintenance costs. For example, grease traps need to be emptied less frequently and unblocking the sewer is less often necessary. An environmentally friendly solution for blockages in drainage systems caused by oils and greases – that is the Green Grease Eater. This consists of fat-breaking bacteria and enzymes and is a 100% natural product. The Green Grease Eater is placed in the sewer, sewage pumping station or grease separator. As soon as it comes into contact with waste water, the bacteria and enzymes are released. The fats present are broken down and removed. This prevents blockages and prevents odor nuisance. Our Green Fat Eater is suitable for: -Sewer networks -Sewer pumping stations -Grease separators -Dispose -IBA systems

Suffering from sewer odours? The Green Odour Eater solves it! With this 100% biological solution, unpleasant odours are not only masked, but actually removed. The Green Odour Eater Sewage odours are a common problem. In practice, it is not always possible to get it under control. Fortunately, the Green Odour Eater ANL makes this a thing of the past. ANL - the green solution for H2S control Wastewater and sewage sludge naturally contain bacteria. These bacteria break down dirt, releasing volatile fatty acids and sulphate. This can lead to the formation of hydrogen sulphide (H2S), a toxic gas with the smell of rotten eggs. Hydrogen sulphide not only causes unpleasant odours, but also corrodes concrete and metal in the sewer system. Anaerobic Neutralising Liquid (ANL) is a 100% organic solution, which tackles odour at the source. This Green Odour Eater consists of bacteria, which break down volatile fatty acids and convert sulphide compounds to a harmless form of sulphur. This prevents the formation of hydrogen sulphide. As a result, the source of the odour nuisance disappears. As the bacteria multiply, they also do their work in downstream areas of the sewer. The use of ANL extends the life of the sewer network, significantly reducing maintenance costs. ANL is suitable for: - Sewers - Sewage pumping stations - (Pressurised) containers - Waste processing - Water basins Odour neutralisation and a better environment With our Green Odour Eater, you not only remove nuisance odours, but also contribute to cleaner wastewater and a better environment. The odour eater is 100% organic and a people- and environment-friendly solution, tackling odour at its source.

Free trial of sustainable and biological fat breakdown
Start your trial period of sustainable and biological fat breakdown. Non-binding, problem-solving and cost-saving. Are you looking for a long-term solution for recurring blockages, grease accumulations and odor nuisance in your sewerage, pumping station or grease trap? Towards a solution that tackles the grease problem at the source and that also saves costs? Then this could be an interesting pilot for you. Especially if you are open to a green approach based on fat-degrading bacteria as an alternative to traditional maintenance. We unburden you completely in the field of sustainable and biological wastewater management. During a one-year pilot we treat the wastewater with the Groene Vetvreter, so that your wastewater system can function optimally again. Our goal is to solve recurring blockages and nuisance caused by grease and to prevent the development of new bottlenecks – now and in the future. How does a pilot work? acquaintance We come to meet you without obligation and provide information and explanation about our working method and the intended results. We then visit the pilot location to get a good impression of, among other things, the sewer system, the flow profile and the environment. We also ask for additional information, such as flow rates, frequency of cleaning and other bottlenecks. Proposal We then set to work on drawing up a transparent treatment plan for a period of 12 months. We make a proposal, without hidden conditions. What you see is what you get! Performance After approval, we would like to start the pilot together with you and/or one of your employees. We then monitor, inspect and dose the location(s) on a monthly basis. We document the progress and pass on details immediately. After 6 and 12 months, we report the results achieved to you.

H2S measurements
H₂S (hydrogen sulfide) is a hazardous and toxic gas produced during biological processes, often through the formation of sulfur compounds in water. This process occurs when these sulfur compounds come in contact with low-oxygen conditions, H₂S can form and lead to health and environmental hazards. This gas is known for its strong smell of rotten eggs and at low concentrations can already cause physical complaints, such as respiratory problems and eye irritations. When exposed to higher concentrations, the olfactory system can become paralyzed, rendering the gas even imperceptible. Why H2S detection is important. We receive requests for H₂S measurements from municipalities, often in response to odor problems or to prevent further degradation of the sewer system. By continuously detecting the gas with a gas detector and advanced sensors, municipalities can gain early insight into the presence of H₂S and take appropriate action. As soon as concentrations of H₂S reach dangerous levels, the detectors register it. One of the solutions to address the H₂S problem is our biological solution, the Green Odor Eater, which reduces H₂S emissions and can be safely used for various applications. Wondering what we can do for you? Request a H₂S measurement and find out how we can help you. Do you have questions about degreasing and deodorizing wastewater? Then we would be happy to work with you to find a sustainable and biological solution.
