RMA Hydromet
About us
RMA Hydromet focuses on optimizing water management, in which meteorological observations play an increasingly important role. Precipitation conservation and water quality maintenance are becoming an increasingly important part of modern water management. We translate the online and remotely collected data of, for example, water levels, drainage, water quality and meteorological data into smart dashboards for practical use by water managers.
Our method
Together with our customers, we work out the most suitable solution based on the products we supply. We do not shy away from the integration of already installed systems or products from other suppliers. We supply, install and maintain the systems and if desired, we take over the entire care and only offer our customers the data. We then ensure that the data meets the quality requirements set by the customer.

Geolux FX200 High-precision Non-contact Open Channel Flow Meter with LiDAR for channel scanning
The Geolux FX200 is an integrated instrument utilizing advanced FMCW 4D surface velocity radar and FMCW water level radar meter, and a LiDAR-based river channel scanner. Designed for non-contact measurement applications, the FX200 enables rapid deployment above water surfaces while minimizing maintenance requirements. The FX200 is based on the advanced 4D radar processing that delivers superior performance compared to conventional Doppler based surface velocity radars. While traditional Doppler sensors are susceptible to measurement degradation from ambient interference, precipitation, and structural vibration, the FX200’s signal processing architecture ensures consistent, high-accuracy velocity measurements under all environmental conditions. Calculation of the total flow discharge is internally implemented within the instrument by combining surface velocity measurement, water level measurement, and a the configured cross-section of the river or channel. The cross-section of the river or channel can be automatically determined and updated by an on-board LiDAR scanner, eliminating the need for manual measurements of the channel cross-section.

Defining the measurement parameters such as profile cross-section, material of the edges, location of the sensor above the water, and all other instrument settings can be easily set with the Geolux configuration application using any available communication interface.

RMA-Rain
RMA Hydromet is proud to announce the RMA-Rain x24 and x25 series. K.N.M.I. has choosen this sensor as the standard rain gauge for their enire network. Some highlights, weighing system with precise electronic design is an excellent tool to measure all types of precipitation within wide temperature range, harsh wind and snow conditions. RMA-Rain series application: - Hydrology - Meteorology - Environment - Agriculture RMA-Rain is the most sensitive and very accurate rain gauge. Simple mechanical construction together with very sophisticated firmware can guarantee perfect performance. RMA-Rain is available with collecting areas of 200cm², 400cm² and 500cm². RMA-Rain series main features: - Measuring solid and liquid precipitation - No blocking - Minimal maintenance - High precision Other features: Ultra low power consumption - SDI-12 1v4 and MODBUS support - 10s step for measuring precipitation - Bluetooth Low Energy compatible - Extended set of precipitation meteorological data - Free smartphone application (Android and iOS) for comfortable work with the sensor.

RMA Databuoy
Adaptive collection and use of rainwater
At the Green Village, a rainwater harvesting system will be realised by RMA Hydromet together with a number of partners. The rainwater falling on the roof of one of the buildings with an area of 120 m2 will be drained into an above ground collection tank. The water collected in this tank will be used for flushing toilets in the building and irrigating the "Green Wall", which will be installed on one side of the building. This picture shows an artist impression, of how the building as a whole could be fitted with a "Green Wall". The site also measures meteorological data such as; • Precipitation • Wind • Humidity • Air pressure • Temperature • Solar radiation A secondary goal (but equally important) is, by collecting precipitation, to relieve the, sewerage system. To achieve this goal, the precipitation forecast is read into the control unit every hour. Based on this forecast, a check is made as to whether the next downpour can be stored in the collection tank. If not, additional storage will be created by draining water from the tank.

RMA Autosampler and Calibration unit
This new product is controlled by our powerfull datalogger. The AP-Pro sonde from AquaRead is installed in a flow-through cell. The logger pumps up a sample of the medium you want to monitor (surface water) every 15 minutes. Every 24 hours the AP-Pro is recalibrated using a reference standard eliminating and monitoring the sensor drift. Pumps, valves and the AP-Pro are fully controlled by our datalogger. Data is send to our cloudsever shared with our customers.
