Ceramic membrane filtration
Ceramic membrane filtration is a robust and sustainable technology for the production of clean and reliable water. RWB delivers the compact modular systems from METAWATER. The membranes have a pore size of 0.1 µm and thereby fall into the microfiltration class. Due to the removal of impurities like suspended substances, turbidity, bacteria and protozoans, the technology is very suited as a purification step in the production of drinking water, process water or for purification and reuse of wastewater. Ceramic membrane filtration offers the following advantages: - Guaranteed continuous 100 % integrity - No fragile separate membrane reeds - Resistant to pressure and heat - Resistant against aggressive chemicals (effective cleaning) - Back wash with very high speed - Very high efficiency achievable - Large filtration surface per membrane module (25 m²) - Long guaranteed membrane lifespan - Low environmental impact

Sustainable Chemical Free Cooling Water Treatment
In industry, cooling water systems are used to dispose excessive heat. Chemicals are often used to prevent the following: - Lime deposits - Corrosion - Legionella The use of chemicals such as hardness stabilizers, corrosion inhibitors and biocides is not only costly, but also harmful to people and the environment, which means it has a negative effect on your company's CO2 footprint. RWB Water offers you a unique patented system to prevent these problems without the use of chemicals and to save 30 to 80% wastewater. Lime deposits The system pumps a part of the cooling water flow through the reactor chamber. This contains a series of disc-shaped cathodes and anodes. By applying voltage here, the electrolysis process starts, so that only the scaling calcium and magnesium (temporary hardness) precipitate on the cathode. The other elements remain in the water in dissolved form. Corrosion and legionella On the anode side OH- ions are formed which increases the pH value. This in combination with the still present dissolved elements form an excellent inhibitor against corrosion. The chlorides present in the water are converted into active chlorine which prevents algae growth and legionella. Automatic cleaning - low maintenance By using disk-shaped cathodes and anodes it is possible to build very compact. By means of the patented self-cleaning mechanism, the deposited lime is automatically removed from the discs. This makes the system low-maintenance, there is no down-time and high cleaning costs are prevented. Your advantage: - Chemical-free cooling water treatment - Guaranteed legionella control - Water savings 30 to 90% - Automatic cleaning - low maintenance - Compact and easy to install in existing systems - Sustainable - Green - Reducing CO2 footprint - Lower operating costs, ROI approx. 2 years PROFIT FOR EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE
Chemical storage and dosing
RWB received the process certificate BRL SIKB 7800 from Kiwa Netherlands on July 1, 2021. BRL SIKB 7800 includes (process) requirements that plant tank installers must apply when building a new tank installation. The processes are intended to be applied to the design, installation and delivery of a tank installation for chemicals. Companies falling under the Activities Decree are legally obliged to have their underground and aboveground tank installations for the storage of chemicals and liquid fuels installed under installation certificate by a BRL SIKB 7800 certified tank installer. A certified tank installer must install the tank installation according to the requirements of the BRL (assessment guideline) and possibly an approved RI&E before an installation certificate according to BRL SIKB 7800 can be issued. The storage tanks, sumps, fittings, pipes, etc. for the storage and dosing of chemicals will be part of this guideline. The assessment guideline describes the technical and organizational requirements RWB must meet in order to obtain a certificate. The BRL certificate gives our clients the assurance that our chemical storage and dosing installations meet the technical requirements of Dutch legislation.

Backwash water Recovery Units
Due to increasing demand, climate change and pollution, it is becoming increasingly challenging to meet all needs in the provision of clean drinking water. This also applies to companies, meaning that water reuse is playing an increasingly important role. RWB Water recently realized two Rinsing Water Recovery Units (STUs) for a project with Brabant Water in Tilburg and Loosbroek. These STUs play an important role in purifying rinse water from sand filters, which is usually contaminated with oxidized iron and manganese. Sand filters are essential in purifying drinking water, but they require frequent flushing, resulting in the production of contaminated rinse water. Rinsing water can be reused through the use of STUs. STUs clean rinse water by filtration using ceramic membranes. Purification with ceramic membranes has the following advantages, among others: - Minimization of the amount of waste water to be discharged to more than 95% - Low chemical consumption - Low Total Cost of Ownership - Robust and sustainable technology Ultimately, the filtered water can be returned further on in the drinking water process because of its good quality.
