About us
THOLANDER, founded in 1986, has developed air pollution control equipment which today represents the state of the art for odour removal. We design and deliver chemical and biological scrubbers, biofilters, activated carbon filters as turnkey solutions. We are specialized in the removal of organic contaminants and odour removal in areas like waste water treatment, sewage sludge drying, chemical industry, food processing, fertilizer production, biogas production, rendering plants, composting facilities. Although having started our activities in Germany we are exporting - steadily increasing - especially to South East Asia and Arabia. Having a worldwide network we are able to offer the best service to our customers by developing solutions adapted to local site conditions. Our services range from consulting to project engineering, installation, commissioning and after-sales-service.

Multi-Venturi Scrubber
More and more dusty emissions from humid processes are ending up in exhaust air streams that need to be treated before being released into the atmosphere. Biotricklingfilter
Discover the symbiosis of biofilter and counter-current scrubber in a state-of-the-art system! With a compact design and high specific surface area of the packing, we offer a solution that efficiently treats even high concentrations of pollutants such as H2S. Our technology is based on proven biological exhaust air purification, but with a decisive advantage: the sorption of pollutants takes place in a trickle bed instead of a conventional filter bed. This innovative design is similar to a packed-bed scrubber, but works with a significantly lower sprinkling density, which considerably increases efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Crossflow Scrubber
Our cross-flow scrubber achieves optimum flexibility. By arranging several scrubbing stages one after the other, dust, acidic or alkaline components of your exhaust air are removed in just one system. With horizontal scrubbers, the exhaust air flows horizontally through the packing bed and comes into contact with the scrubbing liquid in a “cross-flow”. This transfers the pollutants from the air into the scrubbing water. Depending on the application, a chemical-oxidative or biological mode of operation is possible. Since each scrubbing stage has its own, self-sufficient scrubbing water system, different environments can be set through which the exhaust air must flow. This ensures optimal and targeted removal of the most diverse pollutants in one system.
Counter-Current Scrubber
