TriOS Mess- und Datentechnik GmbH
About us
For over two decades TriOS is equipping partners in science and nature conservation with high-quality measuring devices for environmental and water monitoring and has always put great value to the knowledge exchange with research partners and users.
The company’s expertise stems from this exchange and a constant desire for growth and improvement. Although our roots lie in radiometry, we were able to expand our portfolio to the areas of photometry, fluorometry, nephelometry and electrochemistry. We not only offer our customers single sensors but also whole system-constructions for application-specific uses in various areas.
TriOS sensors play a central role in waste water monitoring by providing accurate and reliable water quality data. In waste water plants, various parameters such as turbidity, dissolved oxygen, pH, nitrate/nitrite and other nutrient concentrations are monitored to ensure that the waste water is treated according to regulations. TriOS optical sensors utilise advanced technologies such as UVspectroscopy and fluorescence to detect contaminants and detect changes in water composition in real time.
A major advantage of TriOS devices is their robustness. They are specially designed for use in harsh environments and can withstand the often demanding conditions in waste water systems, such as high pressure, dirt and aggressive chemicals. The low-maintenance sensors offer a long service life and minimise operating costs.
By continuously monitoring the waste water, TriOS sensors enable a rapid response to unexpected deviations, which helps to prevent environmental pollution. They can also be integrated into control systems to support automated control mechanisms. This improves the efficiency of waste water treatment and protects water bodies from harmful discharges.
Overall, TriOS sensors make a significant contribution to environmentally friendly and sustainable waste water management.

By analyzing a complete spectrum, OPUS is able to provide reliable readings for N-NO3, N-NO2, organic compounds (CODeq, BODeq, DOCeq, TOCeq) and a range of other parameters. OPUS is equipped with the new TriOS G2 interface, which enables simple and fast sensor configuration using a web browser. Integration into existing process control systems and external data loggers has never been easier. Using WLAN, a laptop, tablet or smartphone can then simply be used for control without the need to install special application software or an app.

NICO Digital, optical photometric in-situ sensor for nitrate
Digital, optical photometric in-situ sensor for nitrate with turbidity compensation. NICO is a low-cost UV photometer for the determination of nitrate. The four detection channels enable a precise optical determination of nitrate by absorption, taking into account turbidity and organic substances that pose a problem for many products currently on the market. An internal temperature correction additionally increases stability of the measured values. Equipped with our G2 interface with web browser configuration and internal data logger, NICO includes features that are much more advanced than those of comparable devices available on the market. The unified platform of all TriOS photometers also facilitates a standardized spare parts and consumables system, which allows the use of a wide range of accessories for our devices. Furthermore the cutting-edge G2 interface enables quick integration into third-party systems.

LISA LISA – the state of the art SAC254 sensor by TriOS
Inexpensive state-of-the-art UV254 absorption photometer. The integrated UV-LED-technology ensures a long product lifetime. Long-lasting and energy-efficient UV-LED technology and a robust design are the core features of LISA UV. Like all TriOS sensors LISA uses the unique nano coated windows combined with compressed air flushing to achieve long operating times without cleaning. The TriOS G2 interface allows quick and easy integration of the sensor into existing process control systems or external data loggers. In addition to the integrated network interface, LISA UV is available with digital or analog output. The sensor can easily be configured through any standard web browser on a PC, tablet or smartphone. The optical path length can be adapted to the application at any time by various lens sockets. An automatic turbidity compensation is carried out by a second measuring channel. Through application-specific correlation LISA UV can be configured for direct output of BODeq, CODeq, TOCeq. A direct output of UVT254 is also possible. LISA – cutting-edge measurement technology at low investment and operating costs.

microFlu V2 fluorometers are submersible miniature fluorometers
Submersible miniature fluorometer for highly accurate and selective measurement of tryptophan, CDOM, blue-green algae or chlorophyll a. The combination of low power consumption and innovative coating of the measurement windows as an energy and environmentally neutral antifouling solution ensures long-term stability of the measurements. The instruments can be used in a wide range of applications for monitoring seawater, river water, drinking water and wastewater. Internal reference measurements of the high-power LED used for fluorescence excitation compensate for aging effects and temperature influences. microFlu V2 is equipped with a RS-485 interface, which enables allows easy and fast sensor configuration via Modbus. Integration into existing process control systems and external data loggers has never been easier.
