Drinking water treatment processes

Process operator

A process operator at Oasen is essentially a technical operations manager. You look for the best solution when something goes wrong with our large and complex systems. With us, you're not just a number, but a colleague in a close-knit team.

As a process operator, you're responsible for our water treatment plants and the purification process that takes place there. This means that you and your colleagues ensure clean drinking water in your region. You independently operate and control the purification and distribution pumping stations, monitor the process, and make adjustments where necessary. If there are malfunctions or deviations in the purification process, you search for a solution and frequently liaise with other departments. You resolve any malfunctions immediately to ensure reliable supply. You maintain a focus on hygiene, safety, and water quality requirements, and you maintain an overview in complex situations, making decisions based on risk assessment.

You will also be involved in:
- Arranging, coordinating, and supervising projects and tasks carried out on-site by other departments; Participating in projects and working groups. Within these projects, you will propose improvements and assess whether the design meets our requirements.
- Participating in on-call work, on average once every 4-6 weeks.

You will work in the Southern region (Alblasserwaard, Vijfheerenlanden, and East IJsselmond) or the Northern region (Leiderdorp, Alphen aan den Rijn, Nieuwkoop, Gouda, and Lekkerkerk). To fulfill the on-call role, it is important that you live in this area.
