Disc Filter; effluent polishing

Years of experience in the field of tertiary wastewater treatment have led to the development of a Disc Filter with the highest performance, suitable for a wide range of applications for both domestic and industrial installations. The Disc Filter can be used for tertiary filtration in municipal or industrial applications, filtration of process water, and the reuse of (waste)water.

The principle of filtration using filter discs is extremely simple. The water to be filtered flows by gravity into the rotating central drum, into the discs that are covered on both sides with micro‑screen cloth. The water flows from the inside to the outside through the panels. The solids are collected on the panels, and the purified water passes through. As soon as the amount of captured material increases to the point that clogging begins to occur on the filter plates, the liquid level in the machine starts to rise. This causes the screen to rotate, exposing a clean section of screen cloth. The captured material is rinsed off the cloth and discharged from the machine through a central trough.
