With the Tsurumi C cutting submersible pump, solids are reduced before being pumped. The cutting mechanism is formed by saw-tooth-shaped blades in the suction cover combined with a tungsten carbide blade on the impeller. This construction cuts long-fiber solids and prevents clogging of the pump.
