UPPWATER is the Dutch ten-year program that drives the growth, development and export of the water technology sector with innovative solutions for sufficient and clean water, in the Netherlands and abroad. UPPWATER joins forces and involves the entire chain of innovative technology: research, pilots and tests, full-scale demonstrations, upscaling, further market development and export. UPPWATER brings together water technology companies and end-users and supports SMEs. UPPWATER accelerates innovations and increases market opportunities, also internationally. Some 600 parties come together in UPPWATER: approximately 500 companies (more than 90% SMEs), research institutions, water boards, drinking water companies, regional development agencies, sector organisations, provinces, municipalities and a number of NGOs. UPPWATER implements the Water Technology Growth Plan and is made possible in part by funding from the National Growth Fund.
