Rossi - Gearboxes and Gearmotors
The specialist in drive technology in the field of motorreducers, gearboxes and planetary drives.
With more than 70 years of experience, Rossi has been supplying drives of the highest industrial quality from its own factories in Italy.
Standard solutions from a hollowshaft design from 24 mm up to industrial planetary boxes with more than 3,000,000 Nm of torque are available.
In addition, there is a possibilty for customization of standard products if the engineer is needs changes or special designs.
Rossi BeNeLux B.V. is part of the Rossi Spa international team. (IT) that provides local support in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. There is also an official Rossi Service Center in the Netherlands for afterservice and customer safety stock
With approximately 1000 international colleagues, a worldwide after service is available al the way from China till USA till Arabia.
Within the wastewater sector, Rossi is strong in advising in various drive systems for ao. aerators, thickeners, pumping stations, conveyors and pumps.

Drives for Clarifiers
With the Rossi G-Series and the Rossi EP-Series, Rossi delivers a great combination in quality and flexibility. Think of a product including 2K coating up to ratios of more than i=20,000. Equipped with IEC mounting flange to mount standard Rossi TX Motors or a customer-specific model of choice.
Drives for Screw Pump
An ideal solution for screw pumps. The Rossi G-series, Rossi H-Series and the Rossi EP-series are used worldwide in the most demanding applications. For the large axial and radial forces there is a possibility to use a reinforced (conical) bearing. Various accessories and options are also available, such as sensors, additional cooling, customer-specific coating and non-standard mounting positions.
Rossi iFit Series - Coaxial Gearmotors
The Rossi iFit Series, introduced in 2022, is the new line of Rossi motorreducers that is 1 to 1 interchangeable with the biggest players in the market. The drives are up to 12% stronger in the maximum allowable torque within the same frame shape/size. Manufactured in Europe and with the well-known Rossi quality in materials and (after) service. Now in stock for delivery within a few working weeks.

Drives for pumps with smart decentralized frequencyconverter
Rossi's drives can be equipped with a smart and decentralized inverter that is mounted directly on the terminal box of the electric motor. This ensures a great flexibility and savings in cost and design. The dDrive inverter is suitable for the most demanding applications and can be equipped with the most common fieldbus connectors.
Bevel gearmotor for screw press
The Rossi G-series bevel helical gearboxes and the Rossi EP-series planetary drives are perfect to apply in a screw press application. Due to the innovative design of the EP series, a standard product can handle a big amount axial- and radialloads, even at S1 operation. The thermal capacity (cooling) is not a problem due to the years of experience with the biggest OEM players of this type of system in the market.

Thermal power and gearboxes
The selection of a drive When designing an industrial application, selecting a suitable drive is of paramount importance. Not only the end customer (= user) benefits from a suitable drive combination, but also the machine builder (OEM) can save a lot of time, costs and image damage. Although there is a lot to select yourself, a number of things are often overlooked. In addition to the correct mounting position, consider the terminal box position, the service factor and also the power consumption of the application. As a result, there may be too much or too little oil in a gearbox, bearings are not lubricated properly or a too large (expensive) gearbox has been selected. A check on the thermal capacity of a gearbox is also often “a neglected child”. What is the thermal power of a gearbox? In addition to the ability of a gearbox to transmit power, there is also something called the “thermal capacity” of a gearbox. Simply put, the ability of the cabinet to dissipate the temperature/heat. The thermal capacity of a cabinet is mainly determined by the design of the gearbox, the total surface area and internal space determine the heat dissipation. An incorrect selection can therefore lead to major and costly problems, especially with the beautiful summers we have experienced last year. Without additional cooling or with a “tight selection”, a cabinet can overheat and cause significant damage internally. The operating environment and usage Should a very short operating time or very low ambient temperature apply, the concept of thermal power can be relatively unimportant. With S1 operation or longer periods at full (peak) power, or if there may be higher ambient temperatures, the concept of thermal power becomes a lot more relevant. More information? www.rossi.com

Advising replacement gearboxes, old designs (Retrofitting)
If repairing or overhauling is technically not interesting (cost), you probably are hoping that a replacement or similair drive is available. Sometimes you have a situation that the drive is an old model and the same design is no longer available. At Rossi we like the challenge of doing retrofitting projects and see if we can come up with a standard solution with good availability for many years to come. Rossi is known for its high-quality gearboxes and a Rossi product can therefore be an excellent alternative to your "old" gearboxes or gearmotors. We supply a large range from wormgear to bevel gear to planetary drives and can therefore also advise you about a replacement model. If the motor is a standard IEC motor and is still technically OK, then there is a good chance that you can still use the current motor via our wide line of motor gearboxes. We offer solutions from 0.09kW (IEC63) up to 160kW (IEC315) via B5 flange connection and even larger by means of a (flexible) coupling with lantern piece or coupling in combination with a foot model motor and/or base plate. With this combination we can work together to a durable future.
