D&F Techniek Introduces Japanese CO₂ Capture Technology to European Greenhouses
In collaboration with Seibu Giken DST AB, D&F Techniek is expanding its industrial air purification technologies into the horticultural sector, focusing specifically on sustainable CO₂ enrichment solutions for greenhouses and vertical farms.
For years, D&F Techniek has been recognized within industrial markets for its specialized air quality solutions, including dehumidifiers and VOC concentrators (Volatile Organic Compounds).
Now, D&F Techniek is bringing the latest Seibu Giken DST AB air purification technology to horticulture with a new emphasis: Direct Air Capture (DAC) of CO₂ for use in greenhouses and vertical farms.
“Our core technology is based on a honeycomb-structured filtration system,” explains Takeshi Wasaka, Tech Sales Manager at DST AB. “We apply specific functionalities to this structure—such as silica gel or zeolite for moisture adsorption, or a proprietary absorbent material to capture CO₂ and release it again at low temperatures.”
