Climate-robust stream valley Sint-Oedenrode

Contractors Van der Ven – Martens en Van Oord are working on the redevelopment of the winter bed and river bed of the Dommel in Sint-Oedenrode on behalf of the De Dommel Water Board. This project will increase the water storage capacity, reducing flood risks and making the area more climate-proof.

The work includes widening the winter bed to 25 metres, adapting five bridges, sewerage works, the construction of recreational facilities and an ecological connection zone. Implementation will start in mid-June and completion is planned for the summer of 2025. This project builds on the successful collaboration between Van der Ven and Martens en Van Oord.
