Renovation sewage treatment plant Spijkenisse

Van der Ven is working with Waterschap Hollandse Delta on the renovation of the Spijkenisse Sewage Treatment Plant (RWZI). The aim is to make the plant technically suitable for the next 15 years. The work includes:

Construction of a new reception area with installation for removing grid waste.
Realisation of an anaerobic tank.
Replacement of the sludge dewatering line with a thickening plant.
Construction of a new sludge buffer and demolition of the existing sludge silo.
Installation of new electrical systems and field cabling.
Renovation and replacement of mechanical components and utilities.
These renovations ensure that RWZI Spijkenisse complies with legislation and regulations, sustainability requirements and a lifespan of at least 15 years.
