Qsenz Filterunit (AFS)
When an analyzer is used in dirty/waste water, it is necessary that the solid particles are removed from the water to be measured. For this purpose, we have developed the filter unit, also called the Qsenz Analytical Filtration System (AFS). In addition, this filter unit can also be used in combination with our sensors, which means that we can measure more accurately with the same sensors. A 0.1 µm membrane filter is placed in the waste water. This filter is designed in such a way that maintenance is as minimal as possible. The membrane straws are placed in such a way that the flow of the waste water ensures the cleaning of the filter. A peristaltic pump sucks the filtered water to the analyzer or sensor. The AFS can be activated by the external sensor/analyser or can be set to continuous.

Ammonium analyser 3S
The ammonium analyzer is a compact analyzer for online measurement of ammonium in relatively clean applications. In combination with our filter unit, see ????, this analyzer is also very suitable for wastewater applications. Operation: The analyzer is an online measuring system that batch-wise analyzes a sample of wastewater for the concentration of ammonium. The internal pump pumps a (waste) water sample to the measuring chamber at a set frequency (6 - 20 minutes). A fixed amount of reagents is added to this sample. The reagents will react with the ammonium present in the sample. This causes a color change in the liquid. After a fixed reaction time, the analyzer measures the color intensity. An LED light source and a photodiode are used for this. The color intensity is directly proportional to the concentration of ammonium. After each measurement, the measuring cell is rinsed with an acid to prevent interference. Features: • Applicable in relatively clean applications • In combination with the Qsenz filter very well applicable in polluting applications such as waste water • Available for various measuring ranges • For indoor installation • Can measure multiple water flows • Automatic calibration / validation and cleaning • Graphic touchscreen • Data logger Technical specifications: • Measuring range: o Low: 1 – 500 or 5 – 1000 ppb o Medium: 10 – 2000 ppb o High: 0.15 – 15 ppm or 0.2 – 25 ppm o Ultra-High: 0.2 – 20 ppm or 0.5 – 30 ppm • Power supply: 115 or 230 VAC • Power, max. 80W • Signal outputs: o 2 x Analog 4-20 mA o Modbus via RS 485 o Ethernet • Operating temperature: 5 – 45°C • Relative humidity: 10 – 90% • Housing: Epoxy coated stainless steel 304, IP 54
