Waste water and sewage pumps (grinder)

Desman designs and manufactures waste water pumps. Pumps with a capacity that varies from 10 to 1000 m³ per hour. These pumps have a recognizable family trait: they combine high efficiency and high reliability with a low-clog construction and a long service life. These were the characteristics of our first pumps, with which we successfully entered the market in 1985. And we still design and build according to the same principles. Modular construction: very efficient The modular construction of our pumps is very efficient. The standardized components can easily be replaced. Moreover, it is always possible to upgrade the pump - for example as a result of changes in the waste water supply. The total costs during the lifetime therefore remain low. Continuous renewal When it comes to the application of materials, technologies and constructions, we are happy to be innovative. Innovation has become a part of our business philosophy. We strive to develop the optimum pump with state-of-the-art technology. You can see the examples on this website. Read more about the different types of pumps. www.desman.nl

    2. Wastewater Advisory & Engineering Services

      Wastewater Advisory & Engineering Services

Sweco advises and engineers solutions for the challenges facing the wastewater sector. Our services cover the entire project lifecycle, from feasibility studies and system selection through to detailed design and tender documentation. We operate across the full spectrum of disciplines, including Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Instrumentation, Infrastructure and Civil/Structural Engineering, as well as Contract Advisory, Operations, Maintenance & Asset Management, Permitting, and current focus areas such as Sustainability. Our strength lies in our way of working: open, collaborative and closely aligned with our clients, with a clear focus on achieving shared project objectives. Representative projects include Chemours Aquarius and GOS Spijkenisse for the Water Authority Hollandse Delta. Both projects commenced with a system selection phase, during which we supported and advised the client in defining and shaping their challenge. This was followed by an engineering phase to further develop the solution, both technically and contractually, in preparation for implementation. During the execution phase, we subsequently provided support during construction and commissioning. Through this approach, we deliver independent, end‑to‑end project support, guiding our clients from business case through to realisation, both technically and organisationally.

    3. Wastewater pipelines

      Wastewater pipelines

Design, implementation, and aftercare. Designing, building, and maintaining wastewater systems requires expertise and care. We work with sustainable materials, from PVC and HDPE to GRP and steel, and carefully match them to the type of wastewater and soil conditions. We minimize disruption by carefully coordinating our work with municipalities, residents, and other parties. We also have extensive experience with pressure sewer systems in rural areas. This way, we build safe, sustainable, and reliable infrastructure that keeps the Netherlands running.

    4. Water cycle

      Water cycle

KWR develops solutions for water quality and for matching water demand and supply. To do so, we make optimal use of existing and new sources, and we work with nature – and protect it. We also develop water-technology innovations and implement them in – amongst others – treatment processes and distribution systems. From the national perspective to local solutions, from residential complex to treatment site, KWR helps you find solutions through its development work and assistance in ultimate implementation.

    5. Water in de Circulaire Economie (WiCE)

Water in de Circulaire Economie (WiCE)

System change is needed for a healthy planet and prosperity now and in the future. In WiCE, the water companies and KWR work with partners in and around the water chain on efficiency and reuse of Water and of Raw Materials and Water & Energy. To support partners in the transition tasks for water availability, climate, energy supply and circular economy, WiCE develops knowledge on systems, transitions and norms and values. WiCE's five programme lines focus on exploring and solving challenges at the intersection of water and societal challenges.

    6. Water quality and health

      Water quality and health

Safe and clean water is essential for a healthy living environment and nature. However, the quality of water is under increasing pressure. Chemical and microbiological contamination of water are caused by human activities, and climate change can also negatively impact water quality. The quality of surface and other water bodies has improved in many regards in recent years, but it is still far from meeting all European standards. Moreover, our knowledge of the threats to water quality is steadily increasing, for instance with regard to PFAS and antibiotic-resistant microbes. Steadily stricter water quality guidelines are being established for water systems and for the (re)use of water.

Our unique knowledge in the field of water systems such as surface water, sewage and groundwater, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and monitoring and control is introduced at an early stage. This is where Mous Waterbeheer distinguishes itself as a high-end system integrator. Please inquire about our references. Renovation of mini pumping stations, pressure pumping stations and sewage pumping stations Mous Waterbeheer renovates installations for mini pumping stations, pressure pumping stations, sewage pumping stations, bridges and locks. Sewage pumping stations such as pressure pumping stations and mini pumping stations need to be renewed after approximately 15 to 20 years. The installation has been written off, the efficiency of the installation decreases, energy costs are rising and malfunctions are also increasing. Renovation can take place as part of preventive maintenance, but also in the form of corrective maintenance after malfunctions.
