Alleen een dagelijkse kloksynchronisatie is nodig. De voordelen zijn direct meetbaar: - Piekvermogen daalt met 60-80%, wat lagere capaciteitstarieven betekent - Gelijkmatige belasting van persleidingen verlengt de levensduur - Geen afhankelijkheid van communicatienetwerken of centrale systemen - Robuust: uitval van één station beïnvloedt de rest niet TDSC is ontwikkeld in samenwerking met de gemeente Krimpenerwaard, waar de polderstructuur met verspreide pompstations het probleem bijzonder voelbaar maakte. De praktijkkennis van operators bleek essentieel voor een werkbare oplossing. Het principe is bewust open source. Alle specificaties en implementatievoorbeelden zijn vrij beschikbaar voor waterschappen, gemeenten en leveranciers. Geen licentiekosten, geen vendor lock-in. TDSC bewijst dat duurzame innovatie niet altijd complexe technologie vereist, maar soms een frisse blik op een bekend probleem.
