One of the greatest strengths of ANDRITZ vertical turbine pumps is their modular design and the efficiency it delivers. The pump is built from standardized, separate modules that can be easily replaced when necessary. In addition, the VTP offers a long service life and requires minimal maintenance. Another key advantage of this pump series is its flexible discharge configuration. Depending on the application and plant layout, the discharge flange can be positioned either above or below floor level.

These pumps operate in a wide range of industrial applications. In the water sector, they function as water transport pumps for irrigation, drainage, and water supply pumps for drinking and industrial water suppliers. Additionally, they can be used as cooling water pumps for thermal power stations and as seawater intake pumps for desalination plants. These pumps can transport many different media. Depending on the medium concerned, the choice of material and suitable finishing are the determining factors for functioning and stability of the pump. Different materials are used depending on the service conditions and customer requirements: cast iron, cast steel, non-alloyed and low-alloyed steel grades, stainless CrNi steel grades, duplex and super duplex steel grades. The hydraulic dimensioning and design of the volute casing depends on the specific output characteristics. Optimum flow is achieved in the volute thanks to its individual shaping, thus also achieving a high level of efficiency. The volute casing is manufactured as a concrete or metal volute. The metal volute is a welded structure consisting of several segments and can be embedded in concrete as an option. This design is used primarily for larger delivery heads if a solution with a concrete volute is no longer feasible due to strength requirements.

Daarnaast voeren wij FEA simulaties uit op installaties welke tijdens normaal operationeel bedrijf verhoogde trillingniveaus tonen en/of schades/afwijkende condities als gebroken assen, scheurvorming in constructies etc. laten zien. Hierbij stellen wij een referentie FEA model op om zo goed mogelijk het dynamisch gedrag van de bestaande machine te kunnen simuleren. The Vision pump, an extremely fish-friendly pump type, specially developed to allow fish migration through a pumping station. Ideal usage: The Vision is a fish-friendly pump, specially designed to allow fish to flow through a pumping station. The Vision is suitable for pumping stations and is available in a range of standard modules with a capacity of approximately 12-300 m³/min. Fish Friendly: The main objective of the development of the Vision pump was to prevent damage to fish stocks during the pumping of surface water. Research has shown that fish collide with the blades, get trapped in narrow crevices or can rub against a rough surface. By using a mixed-flow impeller with only one fish-friendly shaped blade in combination with a concrete snail shell where the tongue is far from the blade, an extremely fish-friendly design has been achieved.

Vision MV
The Vision-MV pump type has been developed for the fish-friendly drainage of sports fields and small polders as well as for use as a canal drainage system in residential areas. The Vision-MV pump is used for the fish-friendly pumping of surface water with a capacity of 0.5 to 13 m3/min at a head of 0 to about 5 meters. In the Netherlands the pumps are mainly used for draining small polders and sports fields. Phosphorus recovery solutions are needed for municipal wastewater to reuse precious phosphorus. Several methods have been developed over the years, and some are commercially available. However, those treatment facilities using chemical phosphorus removal, still lacked a solution to recover phosphorus directly from sludge. This gap was filled when a magnetic separation of vivianite was developed by TU Delft and Wetsus. This new ViviMag® technology is today owned by Kemira and is currently piloted with Waterschapsbedrijf Limburg and Royal HaskoningDHV at Hoensbroek wastewater treatment plant. We are excited to present some results and tell you more about this trial!
