      The Spaans Babcock Screw Turbine is probably the most efficient technology for low head hydropower sites. Unique is the fish friendliness, long lifetime and minimal operating costs. Spaans Babcock offers grid connected, off-grid and hybrid systems. The Screw Turbine is a further development of the Screw Pump. Whereas the Screw Pump pumps the water up, in the Screw Turbine the water flows down. The Turbine rotates due to the flow of the water and energy is transferred to the drive unit. The generated energy is transformed by a generator into electricity. A single Screw Turbine can produce up to around 500 kW and a number of Screw Turbines can be placed parallel or in series. Project sizes typically vary between 50 and 2000 kW.

      The SCREENED WASTE is tipped into the receiving zone with dewatering section and is conveyed by means of a screw conveyor to the rinsing section where the pre-cleaning of the waste commences. The material is then moved onto the cleaning and pressing section. Here the screened waste is reduced and dewatered. The waste is removed from the cleaning press by means of a press/conveyor pipeline. The diameter, length and tipping height can be modified to meet all requirements. The SNOEK SCREENING SCREW WASH PRESS can be placed directly under the Snoek fine screen. Inlet width is upto 2000 mm. It is also possible to feed in the screened waste by means of an axe less screw conveyor, conveyor belt or water transport drain. If the waste is fed in via a water transport drain, extra equipment can be fitted in the receiving zone of the press.

The true non-contact measuring system and the exact recalibration (you can do on your own) without the use of chemicals, allows a long-term stable measurement and reduces maintenance to a minimum. The ScrubberGuard was specifically designed for the challenging process and environmental conditions of this application.
