Gutermann Acoustic Leak Detection – Find leaks before they become visible

At Aqua NL, we'll be showcasing Gutermann's acoustic leak detection solutions. This technology enables water utilities to locate leaks early, accurately, and efficiently, even before damage or water loss becomes visible. Using advanced acoustic sensors, correlators, and smart data analysis, Gutermann enables rapid leak detection in both distribution networks and pipelines. This directly contributes to reducing water loss, failure costs, and unplanned outages. Visit our booth and discover: - how acoustic leak detection works in practice - applications for both temporary measurements and permanent monitoring - how data and technology converge for better network management. Our specialists will be happy to show you how Gutermann contributes to a more efficient and reliable water network. Gutermann – listening to what the network is telling you.

It also helps the company to prevent any negative operational and environmental impact due to biofouling.

    4. H2S measurements

      H2S measurements

H₂S (hydrogen sulfide) is a hazardous and toxic gas produced during biological processes, often through the formation of sulfur compounds in water. This process occurs when these sulfur compounds come in contact with low-oxygen conditions, H₂S can form and lead to health and environmental hazards. This gas is known for its strong smell of rotten eggs and at low concentrations can already cause physical complaints, such as respiratory problems and eye irritations. When exposed to higher concentrations, the olfactory system can become paralyzed, rendering the gas even imperceptible. Why H2S detection is important. We receive requests for H₂S measurements from municipalities, often in response to odor problems or to prevent further degradation of the sewer system. By continuously detecting the gas with a gas detector and advanced sensors, municipalities can gain early insight into the presence of H₂S and take appropriate action. As soon as concentrations of H₂S reach dangerous levels, the detectors register it. One of the solutions to address the H₂S problem is our biological solution, the Green Odor Eater, which reduces H₂S emissions and can be safely used for various applications. Wondering what we can do for you? Request a H₂S measurement and find out how we can help you. Do you have questions about degreasing and deodorizing wastewater? Then we would be happy to work with you to find a sustainable and biological solution.

    9. HAZOP

      HAZOP

Our HAZOPs are systematic, group-based safety studies that reveal (sometimes previously undetected) risks in processes or installations. Consider, for example, biogas installations. The goal is to identify deviations from the normal process that could lead to hazardous situations or operational problems. InProces Advies has proven the success of HAZOPs in practice across various sectors and processes. A multidisciplinary team of technical, operational, and ultimately responsible professionals discusses in detail what could go wrong for each process step or installation component. Tests and analyses are conducted in both unprotected and real, protected situations. Each scenario is assessed for cause, effect, existing (control) measures, and any improvement actions. Often used in the design or modification of installations. A HAZOP provides essential input for SIL and LOPA studies (see below).
