Project Prien am Chiemsee

In Prien am Chiemsee, a stream was temporarily diverted to enable the replacement of a railway bridge.

Technical Implementation

In Prien am Chiemsee, a stream was temporarily diverted as part of a railway bridge replacement project. A powerful pumping system was used to reliably control the water flow throughout the construction work.

The system had a capacity of more than 9,000 m³ of water per hour, ensuring continuous drainage. Redundant power supply systems were used to maintain reliable operation, even in the event of a potential failure.

Project Status

The work was successfully completed within the planned timeframe. The temporary stream diversion allowed the railway bridge to be replaced without delays.

Challenges and Solutions

A key challenge was the limited period during which the railway could be taken out of service. All work therefore had to be carefully planned and coordinated. Any delay could have directly affected the bridge replacement schedule.

Detailed planning, thorough preparation and redundant systems enabled the stream diversion to be carried out safely and reliably. The high pumping capacity ensured that the water flow remained under control throughout the work.

Result

The successful diversion of the stream enabled the railway bridge to be replaced on schedule. The combination of a powerful pumping system, high capacity and reliable power supply ensured efficient execution within the limited timeframe, contributing to the long-term improvement of the railway infrastructure in Prien am Chiemsee.
