    1. New: Ready to use Fiberglass tanks

Ready to use GRP tanks are products manufactured in GRP (glass-reinforced plastic), a thermosetting composite with a degree of compactness and resistance to chemicals. The technology enables the manufacturing of large size tanks with exceptional features, such as high mechanical resistance, low thermal expansion, low expansion coefficient, high chemical resistance to several substances, non-toxicity towards food products, resistance to atmospheric agents and long-lasting use. The ready to use tanks are manufactured using hand lay-up, spray-up and filament winding techniques. More specifically, tanks are made of a first impermeable and anticorrosive coating (liner) of highly chemical resistant resins, which is dedicated to contact with liquids. A second coating functions as the bearing structure of the tank; it is realized by winding up fiberglass continuous filaments and fiberglass pieces soaked in resin in a radial and diagonal manner. The process is carried out with dedicated spray pistols and confers a high mechanical resistance and security coefficient to the tank. A third polished and smooth resin-rich layer is finally added as external protection and resistance to atmospheric agents.

    5. Non-contact flow measurements for wastewater, sewers and industrial effluents.

Non-contact flow measurements for wastewater, sewers and industrial effluents.

The Sommer SQ-R measures water level and flow rate contact-free. This makes the SQ-R maintenance-free. The all-radar technology also allows correct measurement even when foaming occurs, even when the water is heavily chemically polluted and/or turbid. The compact design can be easily installed in sewers. For temporary measurements, there is the SQ-R mobile option with battery, 4G data logger and flexible installation bracket for easy movement from manhole to manhole. It can be used on urban water, wastewater and industrial water. For explosive environments, an ATEX version is available.

    7. Optimal systems for wastewater treatment in Danish Industrial Park: HYPERDIVE® and E-FLEX®

Optimal systems for wastewater treatment in Danish Industrial Park: HYPERDIVE® and E-FLEX®

Fluidmechanically optimized INVENT mixing and aeration systems have been providing reliable wastewater treatment in an industrial park on the Danish island of Zealand since 2016. Ten HYPERDIVE®-Mixing and Aeration Systems and two E-FLEX®-Aeration Systems have been in service in the “Stigsnæs Industripark” reliably and maintenance-free since 2016. The industrial park is located on the west coast of Zealand, Denmark’s largest island. One of Denmark’s most important industrial ports is located in the immediate vicinity. An oil refinery operated here until 1997. The oil port with oil terminal, however, is still in operation, – as are the many large storage tanks. Wastewater treatment and purification are particularly important in this environment. That is why there was no question about building a dedicated wastewater treatment plant at the time the industrial park was being planned. Operators at the time relied on high-quality plant and mechanical engineering technology like the technology offered by INVENT. The ten HYPERDIVE®-Mixing and Aeration Systems operate in two round sludge basins to keep the content in motion. The HYPERDIVE® is a fluid mechanically optimized mixing and aeration system consisting of a robust hyperboloid mixer- body with cage design, an aeration ring, a foot construction, a submersible drive and a process air hose, specifically designed for heavy-duty use in industrial and municipal wastewater treatment plants. It is a combination of efficient oxygen supply and optimized mixing of the basin content, ensuring that as little sediment as possible is formed on the bottom... 8. Optimisation of pre-treatment at WWTP

      Optimisation of pre-treatment at WWTP

The Gramat WWTP in France has significantly improved its pre-treatment process by installing a Lackeby Roto-Sieve® drum screen. The plant, with a capacity of 9,500 PE, processes an average of 60 m³ of influent per hour and experiences peak loads of up to 110 m³ per hour during rainy periods. Previously, the installation struggled with frequent maintenance problems due to the limited performance of the existing channel screen with a mesh size of 6 mm. The high supply of sand and dirt from waste water and rainwater caused regular malfunctions. This meant that blockages had to be removed manually every two weeks. In 2021, it was decided to replace the channel grate with a Lackeby Roto-Sieve® drum screen with a perforation of 2.5 mm. To this end, the platform above the grease trap was modified so that the drum screen could be placed above the channel and the screened water could be collected directly. After commissioning, the volume of screened material tripled from approximately 150 to 450 litres per week, indicating more efficient removal of solids in the pre-treatment stage. Whereas previously reactive measures had to be taken in the event of overflow, the tanks are now cleaned preventively once every six months. In addition, the maintenance regime has been simplified: whereas the old screen had to be completely dismantled every two years, no components have been replaced after two years of operation with the Roto-Sieve®. Clear effects are also visible downstream. The annual production of thickened sludge, which is transported externally for composting, fell from approximately 405 tonnes to 275 tonnes. According to the operator, the installation of the drum screen has resulted in a demonstrable improvement in performance and substantial operational benefits for the WWTP.

    9. Optimize Sludge Treatment with Proline Teqwave MW 300/500

Optimizing processes is essential in sludge treatment to reduce costs and increase efficiency. The Proline Teqwave MW 300/500 from Endress+Hauser offers an effective way to achieve this through continuous in‑line measurement. This instrument determines the total solids content of wastewater directly in wastewater treatment plants using microwave transmission. Compared to the time‑consuming process of laboratory analyses, the continuous availability of measurement values and short response times offer significant advantages. It enables operators to detect emerging issues at an early stage and implement process optimizations—from primary sludge to dewatered sludge. Another advantage of in‑line measurement with the Teqwave MW 300/500 is that operators can react quickly to changes in total solids content. Unlike laboratory probes, which only provide results after some delay, continuous measurement allows timely process adjustments. This helps prevent premature process interruptions or excessive water being pumped into sludge treatment. As a result, pump performance is optimized and energy is saved. In addition, the polished measuring tube helps reduce the buildup of solid particles, while Heartbeat Technology continuously monitors the device’s functional integrity. This allows calibration intervals to be extended and increases overall process availability. In short, the Proline Teqwave MW 300/500 offers a reliable and efficient solution for optimizing sludge treatment processes.
