      Biogas can be efficiently converted into electricity and heat by means of combined heat and power (CHP). The energy produced can be reused within the own process or, in case of a surplus, delivered back to the energy network. In this way, savings can be made on fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and the energy bill is reduced. We supply high-efficiency CHP plants with an electrical capacity of between 75 kW and 2000 kW and with an optional catalyst module for cleaner emissions.

      Colorplus 2 - Absorption Measuring Instrument

      The ColorPlus measures the colour/absorbance online at up to three different wavelengths in the UV and visible range, also combined. Turbidity can be compensated at the same time by selecting an appropriate wavelength. The modular design of the instrument enables to cover various applications by selecting the most suitable measuring cell. In many cases, a standard housing like e.g. Varivent® is used. Alternatively, custom-specific flow cells in different materials and designs are available. For inspecting the instrument, checking units on the basis of reference filters can easily be inserted. Operation is done intuitive using the intelligent control system SICON via touch screen technology and colour display. Values, graphs, alarm and status messages can be presented. An internal data logger allows recalling and displaying measured data from the last 32 days. A variety of analogue and digital interfaces allows smooth system integration and control.       UV absorption is an indicator of water pollution by certain dissolved organic substances, such as aromatic compounds or humic substances from the soil. Sigrist ColorPlus 3 offers you online measurement of UV Absorption with optional colour measurement. As a light source a long-lived xenon flash lamp is used having a very low loss of intensity over a long time! The medium is measured with two optical path lengths from which any soiling is determined. The value measured is automatically corrected and the instrument informs the user when the measuring cell has to be cleaned. The PVC cover can be removed without tools. Free access to the optics allows simple cleaning of the measuring cell. The instrument indicates any maintenance due. The control unit SICON selectively displays values, graphs, status and alarms on state-of-the-art touchscreen technology and colour display. Internal data storage allows the visualization of the measurements over the last 32 days. The instrument is used in the treatment of drinking water as well as in the treatment of process water in various kinds of industries.

AVK combination air valves are designed to combine large volume of air discharge/intake whilst filling/draining a pipeline with automatic discharge of air from the fluid. They feature an innovative design with a large air gap between liquid and sealing system. A spring between stem and float compensates for slight pressure changes and maintains the air gap ensuring reliable function even when used with aggressive liquids and liquids carrying solid particles.

      Heat / power coupling is a technique in which electrical and thermal energy are combined. A combustion engine provides mechanical power and the connected generator converts the mechanical power into electricity. Heat exchangers recover the heat that is generated from engine water, lubricating oil, intake air and exhaust gases from the combustion engine. In addition to the economic benefits, combined heat and power also offers environmental benefits. Higher yields require less fuel to generate heat and power. This reduces the amount of harmful exhaust gases in the environment. Sustainable In addition to run on natural gas, it is also possible to run with a combined heat and power plant on, among other kinds of gas, biogas from fermentation of sewage sludge. To be able to use this gas, it is often first dried by means of a cooling or freezing installation. Partly through the use of our own refrigeration department we can supply a complete installation for this, fully adapted to the specific needs and possibilities of a project.
