A duplex filter (also called twin filter) is a filter system that is usually composed of two separate filter housings. The system is equipped with four valves (usually butterfly valves) that allow the total flow to flow over one filter housing, allowing the other filter housing to be cleaned. Duplex filter systems are used in pipe systems where the flow cannot be stopped to clean the filter elements.
De Smidse BV makes duplex filter systems in various designs. Everything is of course entirely according to the customer’s specifications and wishes. The systems can be supplied completely pre-assembled, including piping and valves.
